Join us in New Orleans!

The Louisiana Orthopaedic Association invites you to the 2016 Annual Meeting that will be held at the Sheraton Hotel on Canal Street in New Orleans.

We are fortunate to have four outstanding speakers that have agreed to join us. They are: Jeff Dugas from the Andrews Sports Medicine Center, Thomas DeBerardino from the University of Connecticut, Anthony Plunkett and Michael Bartoszek from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland.

Dr. Dugas will be presenting the "Athlete's Elbow" and discuss the significant increases we are seeing in younger athletes with significant elbow problems. Dr. DeBerardino will be presenting his surgical technique on high tibial osteotomy as an alternative to the treatment of arthritis of the knee in young patients. Dr. Plunkett will discuss acute pain management of our patients. Dr. Bartoszek will discuss chronic pain management in our patient population.

This year will see an increase in the length of the conference and the educational offerings. We want to provide an environment where our members can come together for an enjoyable learning opportunity.

We are going to have dinner opportunities on Friday night for small groups of surgeons to meet for dinner at some new and old favorite restaurants.  You may come by yourself or bring a small group.

The President's Reception will be held at the Sheraton with the exhibitors from 5:30 - 6:30 pm on Friday evening.  The winner of the Resident's Paper Competition will be announced at this event.
