Dr. Larry “Chip” Bankston, Jr., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine, knee reconstruction, and shoulder and elbow surgery at Baton Rouge Orthopaedic Clinic. He currently serves as a Clinical Instructor of Orthopaedic Surgery at LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. From 2017-2021, Dr. Bankston served as Head Team Physician for the New Orleans Saints. In addition to his work in the NFL, he has served as an orthopaedic consultant for LSU Athletics and team physician to numerous Baton Rouge area high schools.
In 2003, he received his medical degree from the LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans and completed his Orthopaedic Surgery residency at the University of Alabama in Birmingham in 2008. He completed a Sports Medicine, Shoulder & Elbow Reconstruction fellowship at OrthoCarolina in Charlotte.
Dr. Bankston is certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgeons and holds a specialty certificate in Sports Medicine. He is an active member in the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine (AOSSM), National Football League Physician Society (NFLPS) and the Louisiana Orthopaedic Association (LOA). He has presented nationally and been an author on numerous journal articles.
Dr. Boyd is an associate professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the University of Minnesota. His clinical interests include sports medicine, specializing in arthroscopy, ACL injuries, multiple ligament injuries, reconstructions and revision ACL reconstructions. Dr. Boyd is the Team Physician for Minnesota Wild for the past 20 years, Team physician for the Minnesota Gopher Football team. He has been involved with USA Hockey, previous NFL team physician for nine years, previous WNBA physician for the past 15 years. His primary practice is at TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Bloomington, Minnesota.

Dr. Burnham is a board-certified, fellowship trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in sports medicine. He serves as the Medical Director of Sports Medicine and current Section Head of Orthopedic Surgery at Ochsner - Baton Rouge. He specializes in knee, hip, shoulder, elbow and ankle injuries, and operative and nonoperative treatment of all sports injuries. While maintaining an active clinical practice, he also contributes to musculoskeletal research and has published over 50 peer reviewed research publications and text book chapters on sports medicine diagnosis and treatment. Dr. Burnham is a graduate of Louisiana State University (LSU). Dr. Burnham completed his orthopedic surgery and sports medicine residency at the University of Kentucky where he trained with sports medicine knee, shoulder and cartilage experts. Dr. Burnham then completed a sports medicine fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center (UPMC) under the leadership of internationally-recognized sports medicine leaders.
Dr. Cancienne is a widely published orthopaedic surgeon specializing in treating shoulder, knee, and hip pathology with advanced training in both arthroscopic and open surgery. Dr. Cancienne's practice incorporates the latest techniques and focuses on joint preservation. He has a dedicated clinical staff and assistants that strive to deliver the highest quality experience and clinical outcomes, providing novel solutions to avoid surgery whenever possible. He sees and treats athletes of all ages and participation levels, and has experience as a team physician for the Chicago Bulls and White Sox. In addition to patient care, Dr. Cancienne maintains a significant interest in clinical research, and has published over 100 peer reviewed articles and book chapters on a wide variety of Orthopaedic topics and has presented his research both nationally and internationally over 200 times. His current research interests include clinical outcomes following knee and shoulder surgery, in addition to shoulder arthroplasty, cartilage injury and repair, and biologic therapeutics.

The Emergence of Private Equity in Medicine: The Value of Your Practice
Born and raised in Slidell, Louisiana, Dr. Donnelly was a graduate of distinction at Pope John Paul II High School. He attended Cornell University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Biological Sciences. He then earned his medical degree from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans, and was awarded the Orthopedic Surgery Award his senior year. He remained in the New Orleans area, and completed his residency training in Orthopaedic Surgery at the LSU School of Medicine After completing his residency, Dr. Donnelly further specialized in Orthopaedic Hand, Upper Extremity, and Microvascular Surgery at the Philadelphia Hand Center and the Philadelphia Shriner's Hospital. He is board certified in Orthopedic Surgery and hold subspecialty certification in surgery of the hand. He is an active member of the American Society of Surgery of the Hand, the American Association for Hand Surgery, and American Association of Orthopedic Surgeons.

Wendell Heard is a native New Orleanian and attended Benjamin Franklin High School. He went to college at Sewanee and returned to New Orleans for medical school at Tulane University. After starting his orthopaedic surgery residency at Tulane, he was displaced by Hurricane Katrina. He finished his intern year at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and continued his orthopaedic surgery residency at Brown University where he stayed on for a orthopaedic trauma fellowship, followed by a sports medicine fellowship at Rush University in Chicago, He is currently an Associate Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery at Tulane University.

Dr. Gleb Medvedev is an orthopaedic surgeon with specialized training in hand surgery. Dr. Medvedev returned to New Orleans and Tulane Orthopaedics after initially earning his undergraduate and medical degrees from Tulane University. He then completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at George Washington University in Washington, D.C. and a hand surgery fellowship at the Philadelphia Hand to Shoulder Center. His interests lie in peripheral nerve injuries, wrist arthroscopy, and hand trauma.

Symposium 2: Avoiding Trouble with Athletic Hand Injuries
Dr. A. Lee Osterman is the Professor of Hand and Orthopedic at Thomas Jefferson University and President of the Philadelphia Hand 2 Shoulder Center. It is one of the largest hand and upper extremity centers in the USA with over 18 attendings and 8 ACGME hand fellows/year. The center treats all problems of the upper extremity including Brachial Plexus reconstruction, Replantation and all other types of microsurgery, Joint Arthroscopy and Joint Reconstruction of all upper extremity joints, all variations of upper extremity trauma, tumor management and reconstruction and congenital problems. The center has over 70,000 patient visits a year and performs over 15,00 surgeries. Dr. Osterman is past President of the Eastern Orthopedic Association, and the American Association of Hand Surgery. He is an active member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand for whom he is chairman of the Fellowship Directors. He is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, The Reconstructive microsurgical Society, the Peripheral Nerve society, and others. He is a consultant to many professional sports teams. Dr. Osterman divides his academic time between teaching locally, nationally, and around the world. He has lectured in over 241 countries; writing (he has edited one of the most popular hand surgery texts, Rehabilitation of the Hand), as well as over 150 peer review articles, and an active clinical practice. He is the director of the Hand rehabilitation Foundation which supports research, hand education, and global outreach.

The Emergence of Private Equity in Medicine: The Value of Your Practice
Dr. Tim Randell was born and raised in Louisiana. He received his Bachelor's degree from Louisiana State University in 2004. He then went on to attend Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in Shreveport, where he obtained his MD in 2009. Following medical school, he completed orthopedic surgery residency at Texas A&M Health Sciences Center at Scott & White Memorial Hospital in 2014. He then moved to the east coast to complete his Adult Reconstruction fellowship at Duke University Hospital in 2015. During fellowship he was mentored by Drs. Michael Bolognesi, Scott Kelley, Samuel Wellman, Rhett Hallow, Charles Mather, and David Attarian. After completing fellowship, he joined Mid State Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center. He is actively involved in building and developing a Joint Center of Excellence. His interests include complex hip and knee replacement/reconstruction and revision surgery, computer navigated joint replacement, and robotic assisted joint replacement surgery. He is married to his high school sweetheart, Francesca, and together they have two children, Noah and Grace.

Dr. Wright currently serves as the Dan Spengler, M.D., Professor and Chair of Orthopaedic Surgery for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Wright did his undergraduate studies at the University of Missouri-Columbia, where he also attended medical school. He did his orthopaedic surgery residency and internship at Vanderbilt University Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He then pursued a sports medicine fellowship at the Minneapolis Sports Medicine Center. He subsequently began his practice in St. Louis and went on to become the Jerome J. Gilden Distinguished Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Executive Vice Chairman for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University Medical School in St. Louis, Missouri. Dr. Wright has been an active member of many medical organizations and served on a variety of committees for the AAOS and AOSSM. He served as President of the AOA in 2018-2019 and served as the President of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery from 2019 - 2020. Dr. Wright has over 250 publications. He is a founding member of the MOON (Multicenter Orthopaedic Outcome Network) Research Group and is the NIH-funded principal investigator for the MARS (Multicenter ACL Revision Study) Research Group. He has received numerous research awards and honors including the AOSSM Cabaud Memorial Award and O'Donoghue Clinical Research Award, the Orthopaedic Research Society Kappa Delta Ann Doner Vaughn Award and Washington University Department of Orthopaedic Surgery's Palma Chironis Teaching Award and the Lee T. Ford, M.D. Award for Academic Achievement.
